Creeping towards close: JC Penney's
Major department stores such as JC Penney's has pioneered their way into teenager and modern family closet's for decades. As JC Penney department stores have shoppers in a daze with their big savings sales, consumers are missing the business prospective.
JC Penney's is closing more business doors in 2018.
According to The Motley Fool, JC Penney closed nearly 140 stores last summer in petite rural areas. As many JC Penney's doors are closing due to weak sales and inability to maximize company growth, the known major brand is forecast to close a few more JC Penney's department stores. Many store fronts are unable to factor their selling points, Sephora (beauty avenue JC Penney's hoping to be their comeback) and Sears appliances (to gain sales via Sears).
Few of the JC Penney's department stores were closed by executive decision due to neighboring JC Penney's was nearby, such as in St. Louis. In Ohio, JC Penney's approximate 22,000 square foot store in Illnois closed due to little to no consumers within a low traffic mall.
We're going to miss the department store that once made teenager girls believe Mudd jeans and tee shirts with tattoo sleeves were cool.
