Mall Chronicles: JCPenney is closing 138 stores

The mall was the place to be on the weekends, especially for the major department store sales. As time matures and technology is becoming the "advanced multi purpose wave", we are finding more consumers are purchasing and communicating via web than brick and mortar.

Another sad reality hit us as we discovered that major department store, JCPenney, will be closing 138 stores throughout the US due to the slow sales and traffic.

Approximately 5,000 sales associates will be forced out of employment, but the known company is pitching its best efforts to assist in their former employees finding future employment.
