The Death of 90's Mall Culture

As Facebook is becoming the new place for worldwide and unbiased news, our hearts were dismayed to discover Wetseal will be closing approximately 300 stores.

The America loved brand was famous for their candid, yet edgy graphic tee shirts, tasteful footwear and their vibrant accessories.

Unfortunately, Wetseal wasn't the only mall loved apparel store that has taken the avenue of closing. While Wetseal is closing approximately 300 stores and informed workers about the decision via social media and letters due to no funds to afford the brand and zero buyers searching to buy into the brand, The Limited and American Apparel has filed for bankruptcy.

Wetseal was the apparel store that every teenager use to save their allowance to stand a part from the crowd. The selections and options within malls are becoming smaller and smaller.

Earlier this month, Sears and Macy's announced their store closings as well, leaving hundreds of employees searching employment ads for new career choices.

Yup, we feel you as well, the 90's mall culture of apparel and heavy scent of fresh baked Auntie Anne's pretzels are being extinct - in fashion terms, dead.
